I met Eduardo one night during my first week in Rio when I hailed a taxi to take my to Salgueiro samba school. He worked in England for a few years and was happy to be able to practice his English as was I to speak Portuguese. He drove me to Lapa the next weekend and then to the airport for my trip home. He surprised me with a gift of a Brazil hat. Wow, I was touched. I love Brazilian people. He asked to take a selfie with me as he dropped me off at the airport. I then snapped this pic of him.
